| As a senior environmental design biologist with
Canada's Environmental Protection Service, Western & Northern Region
(1976-1978), Lee Harding provided biological input to Arctic ocean
disposal permits. Later, as Manager of the environmental assessment
group in the Northwest Territories District Office of Environment Canada (1978-1980), he
moved this responsibility to the Yellowknife office and set up and managed
the Arctic Regional Ocean Dumping Advisory Committee. As Manager of
Marine Programs for Environment Canada's Pacific region (1980-1994), he
supervised the ocean disposal section, guided its biological assessment
and administrative functions and participated in national program
management.
 More recently (1998-2007), SciWrite
Environmental Sciences Ltd. developed a number of text and hypertext-based (for
delivery via Internet and distribution by CD-ROM) training manuals and
developed the official website
for the Office for the London Dumping Convention (International
Maritime Organization, London, UK) and advised Environment Canada and
Fisheries and Oceans Canada on ocean disposal issues. |
